I hope you cables are *very* well sealed. Mercury is a very hazardous substance to expose yourself and your family to for no good reason. Long term and short term exposure hazards are well documented and just the vapor leakage from whatever cable packaging should be considered a potential hazard. Exercise extreme caution.
