While the movie was probably pretty far-fetched, I've heard rumors that some sort of "Philadelphia Experiment" really did take place, although it may have been not like what was depicted in the movie. Does anyone know about this? References to books perhaps (credible books, that is :-)? Or is this most likely another believe-it-or-not-truth-is-stranger-than-fiction hoax. For the record, I am not convinced that UFOs have poked people with needles, I am skeptical of the Bermuda Triangle, and I don't subscribe to "Omni" magazine. But I would like to know about any reasonable evidence for strange things that are CLAIMED to have occurred and I am curious about this particular alleged incident. I can post a summary if interest justifies it. Thanks.
