I finally figured it out.  The Wieners/Smiths/Scribners/Smiths/Maroneys/etc.
of the world are all getting paid under the table by The Phone Company.  
Anyone want to hazard a guess as to how much revenue their postings, 
cross-postings, flame wars etc. have generated for Ma Bell over the last 
couple of years?
