Sunny, for example, is as consistent as they come. Of course, there's always the footshooting Mr Inconsistency himself: he creates one of the most bizarre realities I've ever seen. Perhaps "Captain Carnage" will argue that since he heard the truth of the matter from some unpublished genius on CompuServe, his opinion is definitive. Whatever. I looked it up in the latest edition of _The International Directory of Little Magazines and Small Presses_. The book is big, with small print. They claim to have 4000+ entries. Under "fiction" they have, I estimate, 800+ entries. Under "avant-garde, experimental art" they have 100+ entries. This is, of course, ignoring all thematic considerations. Thus, a weirdo fiction treatment of golf might sell better with a golf pub- lisher, and ditto for just about anything else. ucbvax!brahms!weemba Matthew P Wiener/Brahms Gang/Berkeley CA 94720
