An interesting story: A few years ago I was in a bowling league. When in a league, you have to buy an ABC (American Bowling Congress, or some such high falutin' name) card. On the application, there's a spot for the SSN. I refused to put mine down, but when I got my official card a couple of months later, it had my correct SSN printed on it anyways. Sigh. -- Brian L.
