Lines: 126 Maroney's "get tough" article where he put our sysadmin in his place went out Mon, August 3: so this means there is a period of a whole day in here where he seemingly didn't send a letter at all. Congradulations! But now we come to an article which caused especial grief and suffering, because here Matthew and I are openly conspiring to force him off the net by asking: "Won't you leave the net tonight?" This awful, brutal flame came into being as follows: Matthew Wiener was trying to write a "Rudolf" parody, and I told him his scansion was awful and had to go. He wanted me to help him and co-sign, so I pitched in. I was feeling pretty willing to roast the noxious little slug, because I now knew he was writing letters trying to get us booted off. Well, if you *really* have to know, here is the one true story: Timmy, the brainless poster, Thought he had some shining prose But if you ever read it, You would hardly say it glows. All of the other posters Used to wince and bear his games, They couldn't stop trite Timmy Spewing forth godawful names. Then one boring summer's eve, Brahms Gang came to flay: "Timmy, with your posted blight Won't you leave the net tonight?" Finally the other posters Laughed and called trite Timmy names, "Timmy, the brainless poster, You've gone down in matchless flames!!" ucbvax!brahms!weemba Matthew P Wiener/Brahms Gang/Berkeley CA 94720 ucbvax!brahms!gsmith Gene Ward Smith /Brahms Gang/Berkeley CA 94720 "I am quite prepared to prove in court that I am neither stupid nor insane." quoted from ONE FOR THE BOOKS, the authorized biography of Captain Carnage.
