Gene, if hypocrisy really stunned you, your own would have killed you by now.

Is this the Gene Ward Smith who only a few months back was working side by
side with his pal Matthew Wiener, deliberating insulting people right and
left?  Is this the Gene Ward Smith who joined his friend in the series of
insulting abusive letters I received from the brahms gang and their groupies?
Why did he suddenly convert to Mr. Nice Guy and rush to my defense against
nasty Tim Maroney when Tim and I had an argument in alt.drugs?  Like I said
once before, Tim isn't exactly a choir boy himself, but Gene's knight in
shining armour routine was a sham (he was only out to hunt down and attack
Tim), as was his effort at rounding up "support" for Matthew in a flurry
of newsgroups.  (The most vile example of this was his pandering in
soc.culture.jewish, where he gratuitously posted about Matthew's trials
and tribulations by trying to rally readers against Tim Maroney, who had
made anti-Israel comments.  This posting had as much to do with Judaism
as his politics postings of the same breed had to do with libertarianism
or free speech.)

Did anybody else see Gene's response to Mark Ethan Smith regarding Mark's
comments about how libertarian system administrators inevitably take aaway
accounts belong to Jews?  Flowery prose about not agreeing with Mark's
postings but believing staunchly in her right to post.  Can you imagine
Gene or Matthew saying anything of the kind six months ago?  No, it would
have gone more like "Retarded ingoramuses like you shouldn't be allowed
access to a pad and pencil, let alone a terminal," wouldn't it?  Hypocrisy?
It's not in the brahms gang dictionary.  Except when describing others.

By the way, I recently wrote an article in which I accused Mark Ethan
Smith and Matthew Wiener of actually being the same person.  I have
heard from several reliable sources that this is not the case.

But I'm not sure who (if anyone) I owe an apology to.  :-)
