One stream is trying to learn how the human mind works and imitate it. Another stream is trying to fill in the gaps in the capabilities of the human mind by using unique machine capabilities in combination with imitations of the mind. Some people are working with research objectives, some have application objectives. We don't need a unique goal for AI. We contain multitudes. M. B.
