The AGS-1E1T @ $11,698 includes a box, one ethernet card, and one T1 rate serial card (two T1 interfaces/card). I have been using a similar setup for almost a year. It works well. The box is noisy (large fan). You need a server that has TFTP to download files and BOOTP (it may also be able to use something else), or you can buy a non-volatile memory board @ $1350. You would need two routers for your application. If you have a large number of workstations on each end, you would do better with a router than with a bridge. Bridges have to transmit broadcast packets. Routers don't. Routers allow you (actually force :-) to secure access to subnets. Bridges can't. If you have a small number of workstations than a bridge may be what you need. Bridge makes them. I don't know anything more about them, firsthand. hope this helps Neel "I'm into networking" Malik PS. I have no connection to cisco other than as a user, but you can Kirk I sent you. ================================================================================ Neel Malik Hewlett - Packard HPDESK ( Neel_MALIK/HPA100 ) Lake Stevens Instrument Division unix ( hplabs!hp-pcd!hplsla!neelm ) 8600 Soper Hill Road - Everett, WA 98205 ( ATT 1-206-335-2330 ) or ( TELNET 1-335-2330 ) or ( try telepathy ) ================================================================================
