What I'm really after is a mechanism which will allow me to make intelligent recommendations as to which HW/SW purchases to make given a particular operating scenerio. E.g. short bursty message traffic as opposed to long file transfer, many ( > 10) nodes on the network as opposed to just a few nodes etc. As it stands right now I'm looking down a long black tunnel with very little light at the end (Shades of D&D) any burning candles will be greatly appreciated. phil
