This is a marvelous help feature, and through it I learned several new features that I very much like. Then I came across the commands: 'ftp-visit-file and 'ftp-write-file These again, are really excellent new features. But I wonder why they were set up the way they were. In our version (18.44.1), the visited file is evidently not meant to be edited like most visited files. My questions are: 1) Why doesn't the visited file become the selected buffer & window ? 2) Why is the buffer made read only ? 3) Will there be any "save foo?" query about the file on exit, if changed ? These seem the natural approach to me, but what do others think ? Is there some problem I am not aware of that would make these difficult or unwise ?
