Message-ID: <506@hubcap.UUCP> Date: Fri, 25-Sep-87 07:59:56 EDT Article-I.D.: hubcap.506 Posted: Fri Sep 25 07:59:56 1987 Date-Received: Sat, 26-Sep-87 20:16:28 EDT Sender: fpst@hubcap.UUCP Lines: 20 Keywords: Conference Parallel-Processing IEEE ACM ICPP Approved: hypercube@hubcap.clemson.edu In going over my proceeding from the 1987 International Conference on Parallel Processing, I realized that the (typical) IEEE Computer Society and Association for Computing Machinery logos were not present on the cover. Expecting a printing oversight, I more closely examined the Proceedings and then the Advance Program and other material distributed with no indication as to IEEE or ACM sponsorship. Does anyone know if the ICPP is still sponsored by IEEE or ACM? If these two (prestigious) organizations don't support this conference, what do they offer as a replacement forum? Penn State should be applauded for their ong~Ying {_and overt sponsorship. Hopefully, this isn't some reduction of interest by ACM or IEE in the parallel processing field. Anyone know about this? Let hear about it! -- Gary M.
