I would like to remind people that in the mod.sources archive there
is a body of c++ code for simple image processing.  There have been
several requests recently for c++ code and I'd thought I'd remind people.
It is called the image library and it's code name is image or some such.

A more advanced and friendly library is in the making but things are busy
just now ...
