Co., Baltimore, Md. Lines: 18 Star Sapphire Common Lisp does'nt work. Beware! I have version 1.0 which looks like a beta version that cost me more than $400. The one individual I spoke to at Sapien was VERY nice, but the only help he offered was advice to wait until the next release. The problems I have are stack overflows on just about anything other thanks a few line of code (examples) I lifted from textbooks. It gets about 3/4 through the boyer benchmark suite before rolling over dead. Their idea is great but they have some real work to do. The manual is just about the worst I have seen for a package that costs anything. Some shareware documentation is far superior. I did receive a copy of Guy Steele's book "Common Lisp" with the package. My advise is to locate a satisfied user before you put your money down. I am in limbo waiting for something that I can use. -- Signed by: Rod Hart (WA3MEZ) Minicomputer Technical Support District Chesapeake & Potomac Tel.
