I just looked into getting a Laserwriter (vanilla) upgraded into a Plus
and got a big surprise: the dealer told me that he could get the upgrade
kit with version 47 Postscript roms!!! 

Now, I was flabbergasted since all the recent articles I have read said
that Apple had no intentions of offering a PS revision higher that the
version 38 that is currently shipped with the LW+. So, who's telling
the truth? Is Apple indeed2 changing their mind? Will they offer revision
47? Will they offer the roms to current LW+ owners? For how much?
Are the LW+ models currently being shipped revision 38 or 47?

For those of you who aren't aware, revision 47 boosts processing speed
as high as 4X (in the case of bit-mapped graphics) and has an overall
speed improvement over the revision 38 that the LW currently has.

Any comments from Apple???
