A while back I posted a rather long article about my experience altering
Elm to work with Mmdf.  Unfortunately, comp.mail.elm was in a rather flaky
phase, so I suspect that my article had a smaller readership than, say,
this one.  I post now for two reasons:

1) I am still interested in corresponding with people who have installed
   Elm on top of Mmdf.  If you are interested, and your site did not
   receive my previous comments, let me know.  I'll send you a copy.

2) Could someone enlighten me as to the status of Elm 1.7?  Will it be
   posted to comp.sources.unix?  If so, when?  Is it available via ftp?
   If so, where and how?
