I am new to the Usenet network, and this is partly a test message. At Pacific Press (in Vancouver, CANADA), we have a considerable amount of application software written in Datatrieve. We are running VMS 4.5 on a cluster of a 785 and two 8600's. Unfortunately, Datatrieve (DTR) is an interpreted language and requires a considerable amount of resources for use. We have INSTALLed DTR as SHAREABLE, but it still uses a large amount of resources. We have long been searching for a datatrieve compiler, but haven't found one. Question: Does anyone know of a datatrieve compiler available? Question: If not, does anyone have any suggestions for minimizing the resource-usage? Thanks in advance for any help. -- Steve LaRocque uunet!van-bc!slrami!Steve Circulation Technical Services Pacific Press Ltd, Vancouver, Canada
