Shortly (a matter of weeks) to be available from the Free Software Foundation is GNU "C" for VMS. It is invoked with the same command line syntax as VAX-11 "C". It produces object code that is compatible with VAX-11 "C". It even produces object code debugger records, so full VAX-11 "C" style source level debugging is available (just like VAX-11 "C"). David: My chief complaint with VAX-11 "C" is not the compiler, its the run-time library (VAXCRTL) ... will GNU "C" have a library that works? gkn ---------------------------------------- Internet: GKN@SDS.SDSC.EDU Bitnet: GKN@SDSC Span: SDSC::GKN (27.1) USPS: Gerard K.
