But, I found a reference to DDP type 5 in my June 1986 copy of Inside AppleTalk on page V-9. There it is claimed to be a "RTMP request" which allows non-bridge nodes to "request the numberof the network they are on and the address of a bridge on that network". So, It doesn't look like an extension. But is anyone, outside Apple, using it? SaS -------
