Since posting my earlier message I purchased Donald Knuth's "The
TeXbook". From just glancing through the book, it looks like what I
need is the file `PLAIN.TEX'. There maybe be other 'gotchas' before
I get this thing to run, but I definitely need a copy of someone's
plain.tex. Any help, suggestions, sympathy, or even criticism would
be appreciated. By the way, I am playing with version 2.1. Thanks!
