Please, folks, Pat Monardo's Common TeX is Common TeX; my version of TeX in C is CTeX. You might check out a copy of `TeX: The Program', Volume B of Computers and Typesetting by Don Knuth, published by Addison-Wesley. Everything you need should be in there. -tom
