Sorry about that I thought this was well known by now, but I thought I'd mention it in case there are Amiga+ST owners who don't follow the ST group but use the ST (for MIDI, or whatever). A program called GEMBOOT is available in the public domain (has been for almost a year) that fixes the 40 folder problem on the STs. It loads at boot time and you can set the # of directories etc. etc. so it's essentially transparent to the user once it's put on the boot disk.
