You're just fine. The first revision of the Buster chip had a bug in it; more specifically, a missing term in one of the backplane buffer control signals. Some of the very early units, mostly dealer demo and developer units, were shipped with this Buster in a small tower board. The tower board contains a PAL that adds the missing term. All later Buster chips have this corrected internally and as such have no need for a Buster tower board.
