If it is relevant, I've got the Atari SH204 (go, on tell me I ought to have bought the Supra, nothing like hardware wars). 1. What are the utilities I should know about for hard disks. Such as backups, booting, and solving the 40 folder problem. I know of a couple of each, but which of these have been found to be the best? 2. Regarding the hardware, when the disk is powered down routinely, is it better the park the heads or not? I realize this definitely should be done when the drive is being transported. 3. One problem I've encountered thus far is with programs which have resource files such as 1stword or uniterm. When I execute these from another directory (using gulam) they are unable to find the needed resource files. Where are the resources supposed to be placed? That is it for now, but I'm sure other problems will occur. By the way, having a hard disk really makes a big improvement to the ST! /bill
