I've had one for a week now (front panel says MEGA ST2, serial number in low 70's). No blitter, unfortunately (although I have promised a free upgrade as soon as they come in... Then again I remember being promised the roms on my 2+ year old 520ST for free also.) The machine was delivered within two days of ordering it. All software I have had a chance to try so far seems to work fine. Monitor is an SM125 (monochrome). We paid 900 pounds for this machine but normal retail is 1000 which translates to about US$1600 or CDN$2100. A little high, methinks! Mega ST4's are also available, according to the dealer in Edinburgh. Price is about 230 pounds higher which again seems a little excessive for just 2 meg more. Anyway, it's nice having 2 meg, detachable keyboard, and tilt/swivel monitor, and the fan is not noisy at all. -- Eric S Fraga | ma0102%primea%dundee@ucl-cs.arpa Dept of Math and Computer Science | ma0102@uk.ac.dundee.primea Dundee University, Dundee UK DD1 4HN | ma0102@primea.dundee.ac.uk +382 23181 ext. 4839 |
