Lines: 19 Keywords: volksmodem A friend of mine recently bought one of these suckers, and is having problems with it. He can't log into Compuserv at 1200 baud with any regularity. I've sat down with him and have been able to log into my system, so I know it is working at 1200 baud. The terminal program isn't all that wonderful (I believe thatit's the one that came with the modem - Com Term or some such), and doesn't do much besides set parameters and initiate dialing. What I'd like to know is what are the commands for the modem - Are they simple? Is it possible to use a program like kermit or term.plus and have him type the modem commands himself, or is he trapped into using the supplied program (which does zero terminal emulation)? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Jon -- Hm-m-m-mm? I thought this place was for Brontosaurusses only!?!!?!!
