Message-ID: <751@cblpf.ATT.COM> Date: Mon, 5-Oct-87 16:20:30 EDT Article-I.D.: cblpf.751 Posted: Mon Oct 5 16:20:30 1987 Date-Received: Fri, 9-Oct-87 02:06:19 EDT Organization: Columbus, Ohio Lines: 36 I was using a C64/1541 with EasyScript and a Blue Chip daisy- wheel printer. All that worked out fine together. I decided to upgrade my setup and I bought a C128/1571 and switched to Pocket Writer 2 in the 128 mode. I have found out that I can not get my Blue Chip to work now. What happens is after I get into Pocket Writer 2 and do a directory of the disk I then try to load a file and the system locks up leaving the light on the 1571 blinking. The only way out is to power the thing off. The best I have been able to do is shut off the disk drive after loading the file and connect the printer cable and turn the drive back on. Then I requested to print the file. It printed it all in upper case only. As you might guess I have questions: Does anyone have a Blue Chip like mine working on a C128? Does anyone have a Blue Chip like mine working on a C128 w/Pocket Writer 2? Does anyone know which printer type should be selected for a Blue Chip when using the Pocket Writer 2(128 mode)? Is there a bug in Pocket Writer 2 that is causing the reformatting not to work. I hit F6 and nothing happens. I still have my 1526 printer and was able to get that to work fine with all this by selecting "1526" printer type. Thanks in advance. AT&T Bell Laboratories David A.
