This is due to a bug in the Blue Chip's interface. It is a common bug in hardware designed before the introduction of the Commodore 128. Apparently the interface intercepts the fast-mode stuff intended for the drive, resulting in total lockup and confusion. Turn off your Blue Chip while doing disk access, and all is jiffy. > back on. Then I requested to print the file. It printed it all in > upper case only. Two possibilities here: a) did you set your word processor to "Diablo", and b) did you set your Blue Chip's DIP switches to "no CBM/ASCII translation"? I don't have Pocket Writer, so I would have no sure answers to these questions. I do recall having a bit of trouble getting Wordpro-128 to work with the Blue Chip, though. Eventually traced it to the fact that the Blue Chip won't respond to secondary addres 5 (transparent mode of most printer interfaces). That was easily fixed by telling the printer driver it was secondary address 7. Hope this helped, Eric -- Eric Green elg@usl.CSNET Slavery is not a condition of the body. {cbosgd,ihnp4}!killer!elg It is a condition of the mind. Snail Mail P.O.
