I have been attempting to use the uupc software distributed
over USENET (both source and binary versions).  Everything
worked fine with mail from the PC to other UUCP sites.  On
incomming mail (from UUCP site to the PC) everything the
PC received sat in \usr\spool\uucp as if rmail had never
executed.  After a series of exchanges with Samuel Lamb
(referenced in the sources as the MS-DOS maintainer) the
problem was identified.

It seems that I had several \n charaters trailing the
single entry in my "systems" (L.sys) file.  The removal
of these extraneous "blank lines" solved the problem.

My thanks to Sam for his kind and prompt response and
I hope this posting can save other people from the same
pitfall.
