Lines: 64 These two things came over my desk the other day, and as the question often pops up 'how do I put a turbo system into high speed mode', here's a couple of programs that should do it for most Turbo XT users. It's short, and useful. (You know what do do with the rest of this) #!/bin/sh # shar: Shell Archiver # Run the following text with /bin/sh to create: # fast.doc # fast.uue (uudecode to produce fast.com) # turbo.doc # turbo.uue (uudecode to produce turbo.com) sed 's/^X//' << 'SHAR_EOF' > fast.doc XRunning FAST will switch most turbo (4.77/8.00 megahertz) boards to fast Xmode. It is really useful to include in your AUTOEXEC.BAT file. X XIt is really the same as pressing CTRL-ALT-GREY MINUS.
