Every so often we go through another round of these kinds of questions and each time it becomes less likely that you will get good responses. The best reference I have seen for all the do's and don'ts of TSRs is the PC Magazine issue listed above, Volume 6 Number 7. On page 313 in the Programming/Utilities column there is source for a program called XDIR which pops up a window of files in the specified directory. It does all the required tricks in calling DOS from a TSR and is generally well written. There are any number of other good examples, but this one covers most of the information I have seen available. -- Glenn Connery, Bell Northern Research, Mountain View, CA {hplabs,amdahl,3comvax}!bnrmtv!connery
