Message-ID: <152@pembina.UUCP> Date: Sun, 20-Sep-87 04:35:44 EDT Article-I.D.: pembina.152 Posted: Sun Sep 20 04:35:44 1987 Date-Received: Sun, 20-Sep-87 21:08:56 EDT Organization: U. of Alberta, Edmonton, AB Lines: 22 A plea for help: I am using a 19200 baud connection to our Amdahl and require excellent vt-100 emulation on my Mac Plus and should-arrive-soon Mac II. I like Red Ryder but it only supports baud rates to 9600, and even at that speed the text to screen transfer rate is retarded. I have tried MacTerminal but don't like its lack of features I'm used to in RR: Kermit and Xmodem transfers, option or control buttons, macros, macro- keys, text file transfer preferences, &c. I do like MacT's text to screen rate, though. But nothing seems to actually approach the speed of a dumb terminal. Can anyone recommend to me an emulation program which gives me Red Ryder's functionality (or more) and high screen writing rates, at 19200 baud? Please reply directly to me. If this info has already been posted somewhere else I'll go to it, otherwise if there is interest I'll post a summary in this group. ------------------- W.
