Speech Tester is similar to SpeakDA, in that you can type English text into the top edit field, or the phonemes into the bottom fielld, and it will speak them (and convert the English to phonemes, if you changed the English field last). It talks with the moose, and you have to start up Talking Moose before Speech Tester does anything; but it does let you try out new phrases interactively. I generally use it to test new phrases and play around with the phonemes until it sounds right, then copy the phonemes into MockWrite for later use with Moose Frazer. John Abreau -- John M.
