I am trying to figure out a way to dump font bitmaps to the LaserWriter
from UNIX machines.  By "dump", I mean store the font for the LaserWriter
to use without having to convert the bitmap to hexadecimal form and then
have the PostScript interpreter convert the hex data to binary.

I have reason to believe that this can be done over AppleTalk.  Can
it be done over the 9600 baud/RS-232 port also?
