The malicious reposting of half a megabyte in the span of a few hours is not something to be taken lightly. This act done in a moment of thoughtlessness has more than likely impacted mail and news delivery all over the world. To put this into a different perspective, if you use the numbers posted in news.lists, we'd find that this posting has cost: a) each site on the net - 500000 bytes * .15/minute @ 800 baud = $15.62 b) the whole net - 98% propagation * 7700 sites * $15.62 = $117,868.52 Pretty amazing isn't it. One moment of someone's foolishness has cost the net $117,868.52. -- Roger L. Long FileNet Corp {hplabs, trwrb}!felix!bytebug -- Roger L. Long FileNet Corp {hplabs, trwrb}!felix!bytebug
