Just because the Mac is billed to be the 'manual-less" computer doesn't mean you shouldn't read it!!!!!!! Read the part about the desk accessories that come with your System. You'd have found out that it is blinking because the Alarm went off in the Alarm Clock. Your dealer could probably have helped you as well.
