I have a filter I wrote that can filter the output from nroff and drive one of the more intelligent daisywheels (like the DWP IIB or the 510/520) that supports real boldfacing, underlining, bullets (filled bullets !), tm, rg, dagger, and a few other nice things. It should be close enough for use with the DMP series too (I have a DMP2120 but I don't really use it for high-qaulity output). Best of all, its free for that asking.
