Basicly, it said, (paraphrased) "in order to protect future Tandy accessory sales and investments, the board discouraged *total* MSDOS/IBM compatibility and that R&D should follow the established independent line of thinking as evidenced by the model 2000." This has been an "inside" joke among Tandy-ites for years, that certain incompatibilitys were automatically built-in to some products. I know! I just found my IBM compatable printer - isn't!
