It has programmable resolution (divisors of 1200spi), A4 size, asynchronous operation, very good panchromatic response. The really neat thing is the internal image processing options for edge enhancement, de-screen and re-screen, cropping, histogram equalization (pre-scan), etc. etc. A VERY nice device for photos, line art, etc. You get a good signal out (low noise), which means your software can really manipulate the image without loosing quality. The bad news -- its not cheap. Should be hookable to your Sun's. D.
