Here at the university of Trondheim we're stuck in deep trouble with running UREP on Ultrix2.0 and vax8200. The no. 1 problem is actually getting a syncronous line to the IBM up and going. What we have are two DMF-32 interface boxes and a user written seemingly outdated driver for the DMF sync port. We dont want to buy a DUP-11 interface if we can avoid it, and if we did, how do we know it would work? Anyone who knows? Also, if you know of other difficulties with installing UREP on 2.0, I would appreciate the knowledge. Our final object is to run a gateway beetween the norwegian EAN net and EARN (bitnet) using `sendmail' as a vital part. -- Harald Eikrem, University of Trondheim, Norway Tel +47 7 596924 Harald-E%vax.runit.unit.uninett@tor.nta9"!L
