I sent the source to ACIS support and they are currently working on fixes. It seems that IBM got the beta X11 code working well but things broke when the actual realease of 4.3 came out and the "hc" compiler was changed. Gee, last I saw, the RT version was reasonably zippy. Perhaps by "poorly" you mean buggy? It is indeed the case that we had a long string of problems with hc and ++'s. It is believed that with the latest hc compiler, and applying the RTSETUP patch described in the release notes, that all should be well. If that isn't the case, perhaps you could elaborate?
