It sounds like anyone with the name of smith is being accused of being a phony,non-real-person,liar. I take offense at this. I have seen good and bad smiths on the net (i won't point them out). If you wanted to refer to fakers, why didn't say 'John Doe', which is the traditional way to identify unindentifiable persons? So far as John Does, we at ncoast are only concerned that the person is someone WE know an identity of. It isn't the business of anyone else on the net to have that information.
