Alias Research Inc. of Toronto has an opening for a Software Designer.
This position reports to the Team Leader, Application Utilities Group.
The Software Designer will contribute in providing the following services:

Development and mantenance of a networked code control and development
	environment.
Porting of application software to new UNIX platforms.
Development and maintenance of an application file management kernel.
General UNIX tool building and maintenance.
Management of a computerized bug reporting system.

The Software Designer is expected to have a good working knowledge
of UNIX tools, shell and C programming, to have a BSc in Computer Science
(or equivalent degree or experience), and to have effective verbal and
written communication skills.  It is advantageous that he or she have
experience with a large networked development environment.
