Many thanks to the people who told me about DCIEM, in varying amounts of
detail and even, in some cases, personal recollections.  Myself, I'd always
kind of wondered about it -- hadn't heard of it until I started reading Usenet,
in spite of knowing a little about some of the other defence establishments.
