Apparently there is big money to be had in professional flameage.  The
following are excerpts from a column appearing on the op/ed page of the
October 22nd edition of the San Fransisco Examiner, written by Charley
Reese, a nationally syndicated columnist.  This stuff is worthy of any
number of Usenet groups, including this one.  Just think, you could
actually be getting PAID to write this stuff.

     Listening to the Democrat candidates
for president is a frightening experience.
Their view of the Soviet Union is about on
the intellectual level of a kindergartner.

     Their slogan should be:  Vote Democrat,
Commit Suicide.

     The Soviets do not face an economic
crisis.  Their economy is always bad.  If
60 years of observation has not convinced 
you that communist leaders have only a 
marginal interest in the civilian sector 
of their economy, then your are probably 
uneducatable.

     The Soviets follow the policy of 
Abraham Lincoln and issue their currency
and set its value.  Thus there is no danger
at all that they will go bankrupt building
arms.  We might, since our government has
foolishly abandoned the Constitution and
borrows its money from banks at market
interest rates, but the Soviets never will.

     Indeed, to be so ignorant of Soviet
history as to misread what Gorbachev is 
doing should disqualify anyone from running
for a local school board, much less president.

     Furthermore, none of the hostility 
originating in the Soviet Union and directed
toward us is based on ignorance.  Increasing
cultural and economic exchanges will only 
increase Soviet opportunities for propaganda,
espionage, and theft of American technology.

     Nations rise or fall according to the
quality of their leaders.  It is one thing
to not know what cannot be known but it is
something else to be ignorant of the obvious.

     Only idiots would listen to what Gorbachev
is saying and not to what he is doing.
