I am afraid you are in minority again, Rhonda.  It was all quite clear to those 
of us watching in amusement.  It wasn't Matthew's best prose by far, but it
did not read any worse than most other tripe posted to the net.

"LETTERS" or "ARTICLES"?  "LETTERS" are mail messages sent in private and seen
(hopefully) only by the recepient (unless otherwise agreed by either of the
parties in the mail exchange).  If you had been receiving "harrassing letters"
from Matthew, then you can do one of 3 things about them: (1) ignore them and
junk them without reading, (2) try to discusss your differences with Matthew
in private, and (3) join the Assholes of the Net, Inc. and demand that 
Matthew be kicked off the NET for expressing his views.

"Vicious slander"?  This is the NET, Rhonda, not Wall Street Journal,
Nightline or even National Enquirer.  If someone suggests that you are someone
else, or that you are an AI project -- that's tough!  You don't like it --
contradict tha accusations or ignore them (a more prudent recourse).  By
threatening to SUE you make yourself even a worse cretin than the one that
had offended you.

If you object to certain people's opinions about you or their method of
expression of those opinions -- tough shit.  This is a free expression
medium ('xcept for the moderated groups).  You can censor your reading list
by using kill files.  You have no right or means to censor the posters who
offend you.  Those few assholes who insist on finding the ways to restrict
other people's right to free speach are not very well liked on the NET, as
you may have noticed.  Their apologists are not in great favor either.  And
you happen to have joined both of these little respected groups.
