Though "neural nets" is a term that should be reserved for biological
neural networks, the overuse of this term to describe "connectionist
nets" precludes its use.

I prefer the term "biological neural networks," or simply "bionets,"
since  it simply relates that it is biological networks to which we
refer. 

OK. Time to take a vote already...
