Brodsky, University of Lowell CS dept. >sbrodsky@hawk.ulowell.edu Well, I haven't heard anything about it lately but I do remember a high speed modem that was capable of 50kbaud over good phone lines. All I can remember is that it us multiple frequencies at the same time and it decided how many bits it could send on each frequency, something like 1, 2, 4, or 8 bits (I'm not sure about all of these) at the time of original connection; there was something about them that they couldn't "talk" with other modems because of the way they sent all of that data. If someone else has ever heard of these I'd love to find out who makes them, or where I could get in contact with someone who knows. Sorry that I can't remember the name of the manufaturer.
