I have created a .emacs file to set up some of the keys. Inside of my .emacs file I associate the "scroll-up" and "scroll-down" functions to "prev screen" and "next screen" keys in the esc-map. The problem is everytime I use the keys the functions work properly but the terminal beeps at me. Does anyone know how to prevent this from happening (besides setting the terminal setup to -no beep-)? It does get pretty annoying after awhile. thanks, Dan
