Canada Lines: 17 I have been using Forth for real-time music applications for years. I am currently working on an interactive gallery installation piece involving remote control of fifty portable radios. Forth absolutely CANNOT be beat for developing real-time control systems, particularly if they involve idiosyncratic hardware, as mine do. I have done several of these things now with spectacular results: complex real-time multitasking control systems build in a matter of days coming up on-time (Opening Night!) with few or NO BUGS. Sometimes I just can't believe it... -- Doug Collinge School of Music, University of Victoria, PO Box 1700, Victoria, B.C., Canada, V8W 2Y2 collinge@uvunix.BITNET decvax!uw-beaver!uvicctr!collinge ubc-vision!uvicctr!collinge
